Instructor Certification

Sumaria Instructor Certification, along with proper coaching, insures consistent quality results. New instructors follow a program that includes product training as well as observing, mentoring and coaching. In addition to product training, the following courses are part of the new instructor curriculum:

Additional steps in certifying a new instructor include co-teaching and successful course delivery in a specified curriculum. Success in these two areas allows a new instructor to deliver the course on their own with confidence in both a consistent and customer conscious manner.

New instructors and experienced instructors follow similar paths to maintain currency with technical and role-based training delivery: Each attends a Train the Trainer (TTT) session or observes a class locally, co-teaches, and successfully delivers the new or revised course on their own. Instructors are required to deliver selected modules during TTT sessions for new or revised courses.

Our existing instructors are required to attend facilitation/adult learning skills training, as well as comprehensive product training. Their coach monitors the quality of their delivery. Many of our instructors serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and formally assist in the development of courseware, as well as transfer knowledge to their peers.

A major source of feedback comes directly from customers/students who complete an end-of-class evaluation. Coaches and instructors jointly set individual objectives for course performance and for applying specific role-based techniques for each specific audience. Objectives are set to achieve top-rate scores and to improve those ratings on a continual basis.
