David Ainsworth - Global Lead Instructor, IP Telephony Administration & Design
David has more than 35 years of combined telecommunications experience with Southwestern Bell, AT&T, Lucent and Avaya; and currently, he is Sumaria’s IP Telephony Administration & Design Global Lead Instructor. His undergraduate degree in Secondary Education allowed him to easily transition into adult education, and David has worked in the classroom and on-site with clients for more than 12 years delivering administration, implementation, custom and design courses.
David has served both as Local and National Lead for the Basic System Administration course. He possesses extensive experience working closely with course developers, and has been selected to deliver many Field Trial and Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions. He has also worked closely with the International Alliance of Avaya Users (InAAU), and has presented at several local, regional and international conferences. In addition to his classroom responsibilities, he has also served as the Telephony Services System Administrator for several company locations.
David has Avaya Certified Associate (ACA) credentials in
- Voice Services Management,
- Design: IP Telephony,
- Implement: IP Telephony, and
- Implement: Call Center.
He is also product authorized for
- Sales: Session Initiated Protocol (SIP),
- Sales: Avaya Communication Manager Mid-Market, and
- Sales: Avaya Communication Manager Enterprise.
In addition, David has many years of sales and systems experience due to his Sales Manager and Systems Manager positions with AT&T.
