Maria Lourdes Lopez De La Peña  -  Senior Technical Instructor

Maria is a Systems Engineer with 14 years of experience in the Telecommunications field, including Project Management, System Administration of Voice and Data Networks, and Sales and Training services.

Most recently she was responsible for all distributor sales in Avaya’s Caribbean region. Prior to Avaya, Maria was responsible designing Contract and Professional Services projects for Nortel, Colombia. While at Nortel, Columbia, she managed Nortel Partner projects from conception to finish. In addition, she managed all Certification and Accreditation processes for Partners in the Nortel Technology program, where she reached the highest number of certifications obtained by Partners in the entire region. She also has extensive experience in providing technical support for Partner training on Nortel data equipment.

In 2007, Maria was the only employee selected from Colombia for the Nortel Leadership Edge Training Program. She is also fluent in Spanish, French and English, and holds multiple specialized Master’s degrees in the Systems Engineering and Sociological Science disciplines.
