Dan Mori - Senior Technical Instructor
Dan has 30+ years of telecommunications experience, starting as a Pacific Telephone PBX Repairman in downtown Los Angeles from 1979 to 1984. In 1984, he moved to AT&T as a DSIC Technician in Los Anlegeles responsible for the installation of large PBX switiches and voicemail systems and their associated programming. In 1987, Dan was promoted to PBX Repair Supervisor, responsible for a staff of ten (10) repair technicians serving the large markets of Santa Monica, Century City, W. Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, Calif.
In 1990, Dan was again promoted to Dedicated Switch Installation Crew (DSIC) Manager, responsible for the regions of Montebello and E. Los Angeles, Calif., and a crew of six (6) DSIC Technicians, two (2) Software Associates and one (1) TIEU. In 1992, Dan moved into the position of Provisioning Manager for AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where he managed a full technical crew responsible for all new installations and upgrades in Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernadino, Riverside, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
In 1999, Dan transitioned to teaching, serving as a Technical Instructor in Los Angeles and Pasadena for Lucent Technologies, where he successfully leveraged his previous technical and management experience into the adult learning environment. In 2000, Dan transitioned from Lucent Global Learning Solutions (GLS) to Sumaria Networks as a Senior Technical Instructor responsible for technical training delivery to Lucent/Avaya customers.
Prior to his technical and instructor careers, Dan was a social worker in the City of Los Angeles.
