Steven Ong Cheng Voon  -  Senior Technical Instructor

Steven has more than seven years of Telecommunication and IT industry experience in professional training, consulting, and the planning, development and implementation of state-of-the-art IT solutions that facilitate corporate growth.

His key areas of expertise include:

• Network Training, Design, Optimization & Resilient Convergence
• Server/OS Training, Design, Deployment, Customization, Optimization & Administration
• Virtualization Design, Deployment & Administration

He has delivered training and consulting services for Avaya/Nortel products throughout the APAC region, and has recently delivered training on their product lines in Taiwan, Korea, India, Singapore and Malaysia. Recent training has included ERS, Secure Router, Wireless LAN and Security course delivery.

Steven’s Training experience includes:

• Delivering tailored, cutting-edge training for corporate client Sales, Engineers, Specialists, Instructors, Researchers, Managers and Department Heads.
• Conducting Nortel Certified training and certification exam prep.
• Designing, customizing and setting up local and/or remote labs that simulate a client company's network environment to cover various training topics.
• Conducting ongoing "Proof of Concept" research, testing and hands-on work in Nortel Australia’s Lab.

Steven’s previous training experience includes Cisco CCNA and CCNP courses and multiple Microsoft and Linux Networking courses. Prior to his training days, he served as an IT Department Section Manager and as a Systems Engineer/Project Manager focusing on Network, Server and Consolidation efforts.

Steven holds Cisco CCNP and CCNA certifications and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology - Data Communication.
