GLOBAL LEAD INSTRUCTORS
Global Lead Instructors have knowledge and experience that spans multiple product and solution areas. They deliver many advanced courses in the curricula and have mastered the full breadth and depth of Avaya University offerings in their given solution area. Within that solution area, they are primary escalation points for in-depth technical or skill questions globally. Global Lead Instructors are the recognized authorities in the field and are sought out by other groups. Positions require extensive travel, up to 90%. Training can be delivered at a training center, a business partner site, or a customer location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Training students with varied backgrounds, experience and product knowledge in a blended learning environment, including Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor Led Training (V-ILT).
- Researching and analyzing new products in order to provide training support.
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing train-the-trainer classes for other instructors and providing technical support to field offices, business partners, sales forces and course development organizations.
- Performing project management functions, including installation and set-up of equipment and software, delivering training, and closing out training sessions.
- Utilizing analytical skills to customize training in a role-based environment.
- Developing and conducting seminars, workshops and demonstrations to increase audience knowledge of products, services and applications.
- Creating a comfortable and effective training environment conducive to adult learning regardless of the training site and audience mix.
- Working with the course development organization to keep content current for all audiences.
- Providing in-depth feedback to development on instructional design and content.
- Serving as lead instructor on new product introductions globally.
- Conducting TTT sessions for a global instructor force.
- Mentoring other instructors in obtaining certifications.
- Keeping certifications at core and product/skill levels current.
- Delivering courses with intermediate to advanced level of complexity using a variety of teaching methods and advanced media.
- Achieving and maintaining industry specific knowledge as applicable to delivery audience.
- Maintaining expertise through field experience as needed.
- Adapting documentation to meet the specific needs of each individual role-based audience (i.e.; client executive, design specialist, technician, customer, administrator, etc.).
- Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, understanding and utilizing adult training techniques, and possessing effective project management skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive industry experience including field experience.
- Demonstrates advanced project management skills.
- Demonstrates basic personnel management (supervisory) skills.
- Achieves behavioral change in learners at the highest cognitive level.
- Good networking and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three plus (3+) year(s) management experience.
- College education is desirable.
- Telecommunications field experience is desired.

- Fluency in English and in one of the following languages is desired:
