Job overview

Sumaria Networks is looking for Instructional Designers responsible for designing, developing and evaluating learning content using tools, systems, and programs that support our client’s ability to achieve their business goals. This is accomplished via a wide range of methodologies, delivery mechanisms and formats to meet specific business needs.  Knowledge of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) methodology is expected. High-level background in the client’s products is desired.
 

Key Job Elements

  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts; instructional design theory and methods, employs various instructional methods and delivery options; measurement and evaluation theory and methods, leverages various software tools used in instructional design.
  • Translates subject matter expertise into instructional content, by writing textual descriptions, creating or planning for the creation of appropriate illustrations, and developing innovative ways to impart complex concepts to various audiences, through effectively leveraging media. This is accomplished by: authoring narratives, capturing screen shots, creating storyboards etc.
  • Conducts needs assessments and audience analysis projects requiring multiple data sources and analysis methods. Uses knowledge and experience to select instructional techniques to define and sequence instructional content.
  • Able to work on multiple development projects simultaneously
