Senior Instructional Designer

This position is responsible for designing, developing and evaluating learning content using tools, systems, and programs that support our client’s ability to achieve their business goals. This is accomplished via a wide range of methodologies, delivery mechanisms and formats to meet specific business needs.   Knowledge of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) methodology is expected. High-level background in the client’s products is desired.

Key Job Elements

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts; instructional design theory and methods, employs various instructional methods and delivery options; measurement and evaluation theory and methods, leverages various software tools used in instructional design.
  • Translates subject matter expertise into instructional content, by writing textual descriptions, creating or planning for the creation of appropriate illustrations, and developing innovative ways to impart complex concepts to various audiences, through effectively leveraging media. This is accomplished by: authoring narratives, capturing screen shots, creating storyboards etc.
  • Conducts needs assessments and audience analysis projects requiring multiple data sources and analysis methods. Uses advanced knowledge and experience to select instructional techniques to define and sequence complex instructional content.
  • Manages multiple, complex design projects.
  • Monitors instructional design standards and oversees quality of instructional materials and products.

Fluency in English and one of the following languages is desired:

  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
